The ultimate course for owners with dogs that pull
Your walks don't have to be this way!

Does any of this sound like you?

They started to pull and never grew out of it. Maybe you tried some training but it didn’t seem to work. With different advice coming from all over the place, you don’t know what to stick with and what to ditch.
You worry your dog might be hurting themselves with all the pulling, but you don’t know how to help them.
Perhaps you’re struggling to get your dog to focus in the first place, so training feels like an impossible next step.
Those adventures you dreamed of have turned into a chore, and you’re starting to worry about the physio bills – for your dog, and for your shoulders!
Don’t worry, it doesn’t have to be this way! We can make sure you get the help you need to turn your dreams of calm, enjoyable adventures into a reality!
Who is this course for?
This course is for you if:
- You have an adult or adolescent dog that pulls on the lead
- You’re ready to do the work on your daily walks to fix the problem
- You want some accountability in your training
- You want to tackle the whole problem holistically
- You’re ready to set healthy, fair boundaries for your dog
- You’re ready to make some changes to your home life for a better relationship with your dog
- You want a life of adventures, small or large, for you and your dog for years to come
Why it will be different this time…

A hollistic approach
This isn’t just an obedience class with a couple of entry level exercises to get you started. It’s a holistic programme, that looks at your whole situation, and considers the whole dog.

The work that works
There’s a whole load of advice out there, some of which you may have already tried. The stuff we’re going to go through works! And it will set you up to do the work to live the life you want with your dog.

Support and accountability
You’ll have clear guidance and support geared specifically towards you and your dog. You’ll have the training plan to execute on your daily walks, and the accountability to show what you’ve been working on as we progress through each session.
What the course covers…
Relationship
Everything you need to know to create a healthy, respectful relationship at home to set you up for success outdoors
Drive Fulfillment
Working with your dog’s natural social, predatory, defensive and foraging drives to support their social, mental and physical fulfillment and create balance in your day-to-day lives together.
Equipment & Modes of working
You’ll have leisure, management and working modes so that it is always super clear to your dog what is expected. We’ll also go through the right equipment for your dog, and how to introduce it in a positive way.
Training Exercises
We’ll go through the exercises that work – and we’ll walk you through them in each session to make sure both you and your dog understand them and can take them out with you on your daily walks.
Opposition reflex
We’ll go through the process of kindly teaching your dog to give in to the lead pressure rather than follow their natural instinct to pull into it.
Focus, distractions and proofing
We’ll go through exercises to improve your dog’s focus on you outside. We’ll gradually introduce distractions to your loose lead walking and we’ll work through how to proof this new training.
What’s included?
6 x 1:1 Sessions
You’ll have dedicated 1:1 time with Nick, your trainer, to help your through all of the exercises and activities we’re going to work on.
This will all be outside in a public setting, where it matters most. We’ll start out easy, and make sure we make steady, successful and meaningful progress through each session. You’ll have homework to do on your walks as well.
Support
You’ll be able to get in touch and send training videos for feedback while you go through the course.
In addition to this you get a copy of our ‘Loose Lead Adventure Programme’ training manual and log. This guide gives you all the information you will need to set up your relationship at home, as well as helpful walkthroughs of the various exercise we’ll cover, if you need to refer back to them.
This will be an essential tool for you in tracking your training and monitoring your progress on your walks.
Equipment
There may be some new equipment we need to use while we’re learning. This might include things like Gencon head collars, Martingale collars, or slip collars.
The goal is for us to get away from needing this equipment in the long term, but in the short term it can help us manage a heavy puller and make sure our progress stays on the right track.
If we need to use any of these types of collars on the course, we’ll provide them within the price of the course to make sure you have the right thing, introduced and used in the right way, for the right reasons.
